Geographic Location
Zahle is situated 54 Kilometers to the East of the Lebanese Capital Beirut. To get there, from Beirut, you take the main International Damascus Highway which passes through Aley, Bhamdoun, Sofar, Mdeirej, Dahr el Beidar and Chtaura and then to Zahle. A slightly longer route is by way of Dhour Choueir in Mount Lebanon.
Zahle, the capital of the Beqaa, is set among the eastern foothills of Mount Sannine, it enjoys a prime location in the Beqaa valley, it is built between two touchy hills of a height equals at the heart of Lebanon to mi-distance between the south and the north, the west and the east.
The city center spreads along both banks of the Berdawni River that takes its source of the height of Kah-El-Rim traversing its neighborhoods to divide the city in two almost parallel zones, making it a splendid location for its many open-air cafes and restaurants.
